When founding <30ha™ our goal was to trade exclusively in quality wines created by trustworthy winemakers on small estates in Hungary. Hungary's wine map is quite dense and diverse. This small country has 22 wine making areas with acute differences in the character of the wines, and there are over 200 different registered varietals to make wine from! We are focusing mainly on wines made of indigenous Hungarian grapes like Furmint, the queen of whites, and Kadarka. In our repertoire however there are some international varietals as well, like Cabernet Franc or Chardonnay.
In Hungary there are numerous mini-wineries with a unique personality and some superb wines, some of which are real rarities.
We, the founders of <30ha™ are confident that such a complex and exciting supply of wines must be showcased and made available to the wine connoisseurs outside our borders.
<30ha™ is a wine merchant and a brand at the same time.
Our logo is a quality guarantee to our partners and to the consumer as well. All of our wines are handcrafted and come from small vineyards, many of which are biodynamic or even ecological. The number of produced bottles is so small at some of our partner wineries that from time to time certain vintages run out. Our principle of selection and strict quality control allow <30ha™ to work only with reliable wine makers.
